BEYOND ECHOES

Introducing Dedalus Delay, a delay plugin that gets weird on purpose.
Dedalus Delay is built for sound designers and musicians who need more than standard echoes. It routes your audio through a network of delay lines that get granulated, modulated, and saturated in real time. The result is a plugin that can handle subtle chorus effects just as easily as it creates full-on sonic chaos.

The Granular Difference
Dedalus is technically a delay, but it behaves more like an instrument. Instead of straightforward repeats, it granulates the delay lines so you get smeared textures, pitch-shifted layers, and reverb-like trails that standard delays can’t touch. The Scrub mode lets you detach delay time from your grid, so the echoes drift and shift continuously across the stereo field. You’re not locked into rhythmic subdivisions unless you want to be.
Pitch Mode
Pitch Mode turns delay times into pitch periods, so your echoes resonate at specific frequencies. Crank up the feedback and you get playable tones and comb filtering. You can control the pitch via MIDI for real-time transpositions, or use the built-in step sequencer to create rhythmic pitch shifts. Granulation keeps transitions clean and artifact-free. Basically, your delay becomes a tuned instrument.

Modulation That Goes Deep
Dedalus has a modulation system you’d normally find in a modular synth, not a delay plugin.
- 8 Independent Modulators: Route them to almost any parameter on the interface
- Custom Shapes: Draw automation curves by hand, use the step sequencer, or generate random movement
- Recursive Power: Modulators can control other modulators (or even themselves), so you get evolving patterns that never quite repeat

Keep It Under Control
Despite its power to destroy audio, Dedalus offers precise control over the output.
- Duck & Gate: The dynamics section lets the delay breathe with your track. Duck it automatically when the input signal hits (useful for vocals), or gate the output for rhythmic, staccato glitch effects
- Feedback & Filters: Two 24dB filters sit inside the feedback loop. Use them to tame repeats for a tape-style decay or push them into self-oscillation
- Overdrive: The built-in saturator adds grit and warmth, turning clean digital echoes into something with bite
Who It’s For
Dedalus handles everything from turning a basic synth lead into a rhythmic breakdown to building generative ambient textures to adding width on a dry vocal.
If you need a delay that can do normal things and weird things equally well, this is it.

Sonic wonderment!
Used the iPad version of this for many years and it has constantly blown me away with its sonic palette! Super rich modulation and feedback/delay possibilities, amazing how analog it can sound for a digital device. Now I have updated my desktop setup I’m over the moon to be able to explore the desktop version. These developers make genius devices for those who want to explore the further reaches of sound!

Extremely useful delay. Did I say “delay”? Actually tweak it right, and you’ll get a unique-sounding “synth” pads, gliding arpeggiator line, wicked glitchy SFX or cool, out-of-ordinary drum-like pattern that will enrich your composition or live performance.

Much more than a delay, a sound design tool and a very musical one.

This is my plugin of the year (ok we’re just march but anyway). This thing is like the Big Bang for inspiration. It’s not an effect, it’s an instrument. And it’s a drug too. Please, gimme more!

Dedalus Delay is an excellent and inspiring tool! Other developers should take notice because they have done so many things the right way with this, including the UI, which is a real pleasure to work with!

Incredible delay! Only had it a couple of days but been throwing it on everything. Can do the classic delay perfectly but comes into its own when you want to push the boundaries and create something genuinely unique. Simply amazing

this thing is unbelievable, breathtaking, the best delay on earth 2023. love at first sight and i am an echo nerd. (owner of roland space echo 201, echoboy, cherry audio 201, arturia 3 echos, replika xt, u-he coulorcopy and various others).
Kudos to AQUSMATIC Audio, damn good job
