- Envelope Control: Adjust the Attack (Clip) and Release parameters to shape how the limiter responds. Keep the punch on a kick drum or smooth out a vocal without squashing it
Analog-Style Saturation
Maxhead includes a saturator that mimics the behavior of analog hardware, so you can add character while you’re maximizing loudness.
- Color: Controls which frequencies get saturated. Keep the low end clean while driving the highs for brightness, or focus on the low-mids for a darker, vintage sound
- Drive: Adds harmonic richness and warmth. Instead of harsh digital peaks, you get rounded distortion that feels more musical

Maxhead includes a metering display that follows modern broadcast and streaming standards, so you can trust your levels without guessing.

I have loads of Limiter in my arsenal.. I have tried all top ones & free ones, that are meant to be the best…. As a Producer, I’m always on the hunt for the next so called best thing in software?.. So as i was eyeballing the internet one day, I stumbled on Aqusmatiq Audio ”Maxhead” limiter?.. I thought, then I Um’d & Ahh’d about it?.. So I took the plunge as it was so very reasonable in price?.. & said to myself, if its no good, then its not a lot to worry about?.. Well, what can I say?.. What a Bloody great piece of software?.. It blew me away.. So reasonably priced, & I got the result just as, if not better than the so called pro Limiters?.. There is some secret sauce, dark magic Wizardry going on underneath in there coding here?.. Wonderful!.. Its make Mastering so much easier now.. Great results & great performance on my computer, with a great price to boot?.. Defiantly recommend this to anyone.. Well done Aqusmatiq.. Looking forward to you next Dark magic wizardry software?.. Totally Brilliant!..

As thibaultsp says, its definitely a “secret weapon”. Just works on anything you throw it on, simple and straightforward to use but with enough options to cover a wide variety of situations. Do NOT let the low price point fool you, its worth every penny and then some

I was wondering why there were no reviews for such a great plugin. Then I understood : nobody wants to reveal his secret weapon : )
Aqusmatiq’s plugins are by far my best buys of 2023 and I can’t wait to know what they’ll do next.
